LIFTING UP: ELEVATING INTERGENERATIONAL ASIAN ACTIVISM IN THE SACRAMENTO REGION

The Asian American Liberation Network, a 2021 APIs Rise Fund grant recipient, presents three short stories of Sacramento-area Asian American activism and multicultural solidarity. Hear how Sacramento Asian American Activists contributed to powerful turning-points in history, including Filipino American organizing in response to dictatorship and martial law in the motherland, a powerful Sikh political mobilization born out of struggles for justice, and the fight to reclaim Pride on the 50th Anniversary of the Stonewall riots.
