Co-presented by Asian American Journalists Association, Sacramento Chapter (AAJA Sacramento), the Media and Community Connections panel discussion will explore the role of media in uplifting local API community affairs.

This 50-minute discussion is moderated by Pamela Wu, Director of News and Media Relations at UC Davis Health, and Board Member of AAJA Sacramento. 

Panelists include Jamie Katayanagi, leader of a community effort to rebuild and memorialize Sacramento’s lost Japantown; Sarah Mizes-Tan, Race and Equity Reporter for CapRadio and host of the Mid Pacific podcast which explores Asian American identity; and Hanh Truong, amd engagement reporter for The Sacramento Bee’s service journalism team.
